Gratitude and Electricity in Historic Natchitoches

November 19 2020 | News

William Faulkner said "Gratitude is a quality similar to electricity: It must be produced, discharged and used up in order to exist at all"

This year has brought changes to the holiday season in Historic Natchitoches. However, both gratitude and electricity are abundant in the quaint town.  More tham 300,000 Christmas lights twinkle overhead for miles in the Historic District and 100 lighted and themed set pieces are placed on the beautiful Cane River Lake. Fantastic firework displays will burst overhead every weekend beginning November 21 and ending December 26, 2020.

Those who are able to visit during the months of November and December and experience all that the 'Festival of Lights' has to offer are welcomed with gratitude as if welcoming long awaited family.  Unique shopping, dining and sightseeing are all a must, as well as enjoying the entertainment on the downtown riverbank stage.

Nestled in the heart of the 33-block Natchitoches Historic Landmark District lies the Chateau Saint Denis Hotel offering 87 luxurious rooms, open yet comfortable lobby with double sided fireplaces, New Orleans French Quarter style courtyard and our very own “Lounge 1714” offering a cozy atmosphere to unwind at the end of the day.

Enjoy the electricity of the holiday season in Historic Natchitoches and the gratitude and hospitality of Chateau Saint Denis.
