Welcome to the Chateau Saint Denis Hotel, a French Creole-inspired boutique property. The hotel is perfectly located in the center of downtown Natchitoches and features all of the comfort and charm that Natchitoches is famous for. The property is nestled above the City’s beautiful waterfront, the scenic Cane River Lake, within a block from the famed brick thoroughfare, and directly across the street from the Natchitoches Events Center.
The Chateau Saint Denis Hotel derives its name from the French explorer, Louis Juchereau de St. Denis, who in 1714 established Natchitoches making it the oldest permanent settlement in the Louisiana Purchase. The charming city’s extensive 18th and early 19th century structures created the French Creole concept which is the influence for both the exterior as well as the interior of the property. The largest boutique hotel in downtown Natchitoches offers 87 rooms with luxuriously hand-crafted superior mattresses, custom furniture, draperies and artwork, in addition to fully-appointed bathrooms with specialty toiletries and the convenience of in-room refrigerators and coffee stations with seven units offered as Luxury Suites. Unlimited Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, as is convenient parking including an electric car charging station, and a guest laundry and a daily “Jump Start” Breakfast.
A French Quarter-style brick courtyard featuring a spectacular antique fountain is just beyond the dramatic lobby with high ceilings graced with beautiful chandeliers and a double fireplace defining two elegant seating areas in addition to an inviting full-service Lounge, Business Center and a Sundry Shop. The main floor offers a Fitness Room as well. The Chateau Saint Denis Hotel also features 4,500 square feet of Ballrooms and Conference Rooms which will provide the perfect setting for meetings, conferences, private parties and weddings. The layout of the rooms can be scaled to accommodate from 50 to 330 people.
Just minutes from Interstate 49 and within an hour of two commercial airports, Natchitoches is the quaint town featured in the movie Steel Magnolias. Nationally recognized as a Distinctive Destination, the City features unique shopping and dining selections, museums, heritage trails and parks. It also hosts major festivals each year including the world-famous Natchitoches Christmas Festival which beautifully illuminates the City each winter during the holiday season. USA Today recently awarded Natchitoches it’s “Ten Best Reader’s Choice Award” for “Best Southern Small Town.”
